So I can update my blog via email but not directly.  I must have something set wrong as my initial post did not go through.

 

So, to update (again)... I originally had a blog at www.dianasplace.net but forgot to renew the domain and lost it along will all my posts for the past 7 years.  Worse yet, my hard drive died and I lost everything on my computer.  So, I am starting over.  A babe just born, if you will.

 

So much has happened in the past few months!  If you are one of my "friends" from my last blog, you know that I got divorced last year.  In fact, we seperated almost exactly a year ago today.  I spent a few months reflecting as you know you can't go forward until you have examined the past and put it to rest.  That period was hard but I am thankful that I went through it.

 

I then began dating.  INTERNET dating.  That sucked.  I met several interesting people and have actually grown close to a few of those people, but for the most part, it sucked.  The best part, however, is that I met my friend, Suzanne.  Imagine that, I joined eharmony to meet men and found a best friend instead!  

 

I went to a Christmas party last December and ran into someone that I had known socially (barely) for about 10 years.  The timing was not right and we spent several months apart until his birthday party a few months ago.  Now we talk every day, for hours.  He works outside the country so we can't see each other every day or even every month, but I feel closer to him than I have ever felt with anybody.  We are planning our lives around each other and I am so excited about the future!  Steven.  I am sure you will all hear a lot about him in the future!

 

I am now on summer break (for another week) and what would normally be a totally lost time is proving to be rejuvinating.  Lord knows I will need that rejuvination when the semester starts in a couple of weeks!
