The school that I work for got closed last Thursday due to a case of Swine Flu.  We were one of the first schools to close and were supposed to remain closed until the 14th.  We ended up reopening on Tuesday for Fac/Staff and on Wednesday for students.  This is big news.  In fact, it must be HUGE news as when Wednesday morning came around the news trucks were waiting to get on campus.  News helicoptors were in the air above the school.   Cameramen and reporters were waiting with baited breath to see if the students really WOULD be attending school yesterday.

It was on the 5:00 news last night and on the front page of our local news websites.

Umm.  Did I miss something?  The last I heard, teenagers were required to attend high school.  It's what they do.  They don't have jobs.  I have no clue as to why this would be breaking news.  But I thought it was pretty damn funny so I took a picture of a couple of trucks waiting to film our kids getting out of chapel yesterday morning.
