He was 75.
DeLuise died Monday evening at St. John's Health Center in Santa Monica, said his agent, Robert Malcolm. The family did not release the cause of death.
DeLuise appeared in scores of movies and TV shows, in Broadway plays and voicing characters for numerous cartoons. Writer-director-actor Mel Brooks particularly admired DeLuise's talent for offbeat comedy and cast him in several films, including "The Twelve Chairs," "Blazing Saddles," "Silent Movie," "History of the World Part I" and "Robin Hood: Men in Tights."
His TV credits included appearances on such shows as "The Munsters," "The Girl From U.N.C.L.E.," "Burke's Law," "Sabrina the Teenage Witch" and "Diagnosis Murder." On Broadway, DeLuise appeared in Neil Simon's "Last of the Red Hot Lovers" and other plays.
In part because of his passion for food, the actor battled obesity, reaching as much as 325 pounds and for years resisting family members and doctors who tried to put him on various diets. He finally agreed in 1993 when his doctor refused to perform hip replacement surgery until he lost 100 pounds (he lost enough weight for the surgery, though gained some of it back).
His love of food also resulted in two successful cookbooks, 1988's "Eat This — It Will Make You Feel Better!" and 1997's "Eat This Too! It'll Also Make You Feel Good."

The Associated Press (via Google)

His official site has this to say...

"It's easy to mourn his death, but easier to remember a time when he made you laugh."

Memorial services will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to one of the following charities:

The Elixir Fund www.elixirfund.org

The Lily Sanctuary www.lilysanctuary.org

Hydrocephalus Foundation, Inc. www.hydrocephalus.org

The Pearl S. The last I heard, teenagers were required to attend high school. It's what they do. They don't have jobs. I have no clue as to why this would be breaking news. But I thought it was pretty damn funny so I took a picture of a couple of trucks waiting to film our kids getting out of chapel yesterday morning.

Still Alive

I am still here. Hubby came home and we are having fun spending time together. The school I work for closed due to a case of the Swine Flu so we got to spend an additional 3 wonderful days together that we were not expecting. He will be here until the 15th... seems like time is flying by!!

School opens again tomorrow...

Silly Blog

I couldn't log in last night to post so I guess I will post double today. That should be easy.

So... guess who is coming home tomorrow! HUBBY! I am very excited tho that means my spa stuff, which was planned for Saturday, isn't going to happen. I guess I can give myself a mani & a pedi or better yet, take hubby with me!

Four months is simply too long to be apart!

Pfft

It's really kind of stupid but, for an ADDITIONAL $9.99 a month, I can hide my posts from you. What the hell is that? However, when there is a song that I find enjoyable, I tend to play it over and over. What first captivated me with this song is that the musician, Jason Mraz, reminds me of my husband. If you were to put their pictures together, you would think that my husband was a future version (sorry baby) of Jason.

Not to mention the fact that I first heard this song on my first date with my husband.

Work, kids, stuff...

Today I was actually at home all day. I am amazed at how active my home is when I am not around, especially on Fridays.

6:50am - I remembered to take the trash to the driveway gate.

9:00am - The yard people blew leaves, mowed the grass, trimmed the bushes, and whatever else they do.

11:00am - The home cleaners came and did in one hour what used to take me all day.

11:35am - Pool Boy came to care for pool and fix a spot on the wall that, somehow, ended up missing paint (he is also married to my sister-in-law)

12:00pm - House Manager came by to pay the home cleaners and take Pool Boy home (she is also my sister-in-law).

1:00pm - Garbage people took trash (no relation that I know of).

2:46pm - I blog about the exciting life of my home.

After all that activity, I think I deserve this...

Hmmm...
